Less space, more sound, low price.
The Catalina Club series was really new territory for the Gretsch brand in its early days, because for the first time Gretsch drums were produced outside the USA and for the first time mahogany wood was used. But the enormous success of these models proves the developers at Gretsch right. The series combines traditional configurations and the classic GRETSCH sound with sleek and modern hardware. The foundation is formed by the seven-ply shells with 30° bearing edge, which, in combination with the REMO® heads, fitted as standard, give every drum set a warm and powerful vintage tone. Catalina Club sets are available in three different configurations and a total of seven finishes.
GRETSCH DRUMS are legendary and innovative at the same time; GRETSCH is responsible for numerous developments that have played and continue to play a significant role in the construction of modern drumsets.
The company's 135-year history began in 1883 in the Brooklyn borough of New York. From here on, GRETSCH advanced to become a pioneer in the development and manufacture of percussion instruments until the 1950s and 1960s. And even today, the hype around "That Great Gretsch Sound" is unbroken, which is clearly reflected in the diversity of users on the world's stages.
