GEWA 'Test the Best' #2: RC Schneider

The GEWA digital drums G9 & G5 can now be tested at RC Schneider!

12.12.2022

Ralph, your education shows that you have a lot of knowledge to pass on. What has your career been like?
A good education was very important to me. First of all, I took part in the "Professional Program Drums" at the Future Music School and successfully completed it. In order to develop myself further and to deepen my knowledge as an ensemble leader, I also studied at the Berufsfachschule für Musik in Nuremberg and Dinkelsbühl. It is important for me to be broadly established. That's why I then added a degree as a specialist teacher for music and economics at the State Institute in Ansbach.

That sounds like a tight programme. Did you still have time to play with bands?
Fortunately, mostly yes! Playing in the band is just as important to me as teaching or writing books. I have played several tours in large parts of Europe with bands from Germany; with "Not For Sale", "Fish and Scale", "The Blackscreen" and many more. I'm currently on the road again with cover and wedding bands.

Your music school is well equipped and you have chosen GEWA digital drums. What are your first experiences with the instruments?
I have a GEWA G9 and a GEWA G5 set in my school. The sets have everything I expect from a modern electric drum set! They are well made and have all the features you need. As an audio engineer, the sound is especially important to me and GEWA has fully met my expectations.

How do you use the kits at your school?
The kits are very versatile in class. Some students sit down at the instrument to warm up. Some practise on it and test all the functions or play their favourite grooves "just for fun".

You don't just pass on your versatility in your school; you are also active as an author and producer…
In 2021, I published my own instructional books with 360 Drums. The English edition of the books is also finished now and will be published on 07.01.23. I also produce and arrange music for bands and artists from the Nuremberg area. I have some plans for YouTube and will produce more videos in the future.
Why don't you have a look at my website? The books are available here:
www.360drums.de and for English here: www.360drums.net
