Live drummer, drum coach, owner of a large drum school and content creator - have I forgotten anything?
That sums it up very well. I find that you can only pass on the "live experience" to your students if you are always live on stage. I currently have two locations of my school in Mainz and Ingelheim. Social media also plays an increasingly important role, not only as a teacher.

Does the topic of social media and video content also play a role in the classroom?
Definitely. I put a lot of emphasis on it with my team; that the students are taught in very well-equipped rooms. It doesn't matter whether they are using an acoustic or electric drum set. With the latest recording equipment, we also offer the possibility of video production. I regularly create new drum lesson content myself for my social media channels.

With GEWA digital drums, you have chosen the G9 series. What are the advantages of the kit?
The GEWA digital drums have a very natural feel. The sound module delivers a really wide range of sounds that all sound fantastic. All in all, GEWA digital drums are well made; both the hardware and the shells. The design is also positive, no matter which series you choose. I really like the possibility of configuring your own sound set with the sound module, depending on what you need musically.

You attach a lot of importance to variety and sound when playing and in lessons. You consciously use the GEWA digital drums for this. Why?
Among other things, the E-set should show the students that it is not only fun to learn the instrument on an acoustic set. It should show that - on the right e-set - you have a lot of possibilities. With new technology, especially the sound module, the students can also learn to produce their own sounds.

What is immediately noticeable in your school is that you have a very pleasant atmosphere. What is your secret?
Where better to learn than with an experienced and familiar team that loves its work and has both live and studio experience? The different experiences of the teachers allow them to respond to the needs of each student and, in addition to the basics, to teach them the style of music that the student prefers. Depending on the need, also online.
